I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. As I stated in a previous post, I know how hard this day can be. I had my moments where I wondered if Jayson and I would ever get to experience Christmas as parents. There was a quote spreading around Facebook that said something along the lines of……I thought being a kid on Christmas was the best thing ever. Turns out being a parent on Christmas is the best. Gosh, talk about putting the knife in and twisting. All the pictures on Facebook of families was all too much at times.
With that said, I really tried to enjoy the moment with all my family….my 7 incredible nieces and nephews and my amazing husband.
My mom and step-dad gave me a wooden sign that said, “Thy Will Be Done”. I fought back tears when I opened that present.
So extremely fitting for all Jayson and I have been through and remembering to keep the faith. Hillary Scott’s song “Thy Will Be Done” is truly a song that has helped me in my darkest moments. Knowing that God has a plan for us that is far greater than my plan for us is so comforting to me. I hope you can find peace in that as well.
