You Are NOT Worthless

Do you ever get that little voice in the back of your head saying all those horrible things to you?

  • You’re worthless
  • What kind of woman are you – you can’t even provide your husband with a child
  • You’re not loveable
  • Your husband is going to leave you
  • You would be a horrible mother and that’s why God hasn’t blessed you with a child yet
  • You are being punished for things you have or haven’t done in your past
  • This is all your fault
  • You’re too weak
  • You’re not worthy

I think we all know that this list can go on and on.  I’m here to remind you that you are NOT worthless and this is NOT your fault.  I know all the cliché sayings that we are all used to hearing – God has plan, this is all happening for a reason – it’s all about His timing.  I know how much we hate hearing it even though we know that it’s the truth.  Yes, God has a plan and yes, it’s all about His timing but dang, sometimes we don’t want to hear it.
I’m here to tell you that I’m sorry you’re going through this and I know how hard it is.  You are strong and you are worth it.  Your husband loves you even though the journey is hard, he probably loves you even more because he sees how strong you are.  He sees the lengths you are willing to go to finally have your beautiful child.
You will be an amazing mother because you won’t ever take that child for granted, you aren’t being punished, this isn’t your fault and you definitely aren’t weak.  We, as women, are so hard on ourselves and tend to go down that dark path in our minds.  The journey is definitely hard and you will have weak moments, but make sure you don’t stay there.  Take a little time, grieve, and then get back up and keep on going.  You can do it and I have no doubt that in the end, whether it be an IVF cycle that finally works, donor eggs/sperm work for you or adoption doors open  IT….WILL….BE….WORTH….IT.  Never forget what you’re fighting for and always remember:

With love,

Haley
